Graduating from the Bren School in 2003, Bryan Nguyen spent five years at Unisys as a programmer before facing a fork in the road of his career path. He could have stayed in technology and went for an MBA, but decided instead to jump into a completely new field and pursue a Juris Doctor.

Stanford artificial intelligence researchers have developed software that makes it easy to reach inside an existing video and place a photo on the wall so realistically that it looks like it was there from the beginning. The photo is not pasted on top of the existing video, but embedded in it It works for videos as well – you can play a video on a wall inside your video.

Model-Driven Programming and Meta-Programming together with Semantic Web and End-User Programming techniques are vital ingredients of the User Driven Programming/Modelling approach used in this thesis. Dmitriev (2006) explains the problem to be solved in order to improve model production as “limitations of programming which force the programmer to think like the computer rather than having the computer think more like the programmer.” Meta-programming (Dmitriev, 2006) is a useful way of allowing for language independent software development, and can aid in providing a high level front-end to programming languages.
